Said and Done - for the week ending on Saturday, September 26

The Season/The Weather - hotter and more humid at the beginning and middle of the week, taking away the feeling that Fall had arrived, bringing back a reminder of summer.
In spite of that, Autumn did begin – on Tuesday – and today’s weather is back to behaving like Autumn again. Tomorrow it will rain, but then that is next week, isn’t it?

Where I Spent Most of the Week - the week began with a day of Fun at the Fair with my daughter and her daughter, my sister and her family. There were lots of errands to be run throughout the week – driving Maya back and forth to school, a trip to the library, a little shopping, off to the pharmacy for our flu shots, a little stalking and grovelling at the senior housing office (which seems to have paid off – we have an appointment next week – we’ve made it to the top of the waiting list! I think it was just our turn, I don’t think the stalking and grovelling influenced our place on the list either way… ). Today we visited Russ’ brother who is home and feeling better after yet another stay at the hospital last week.

I Enjoyed - every day. It was a good week. I felt good, I was in good company, I thought good thoughts and had good times.

I Read - started reading Peace Like a River by Leif Enger.

I Watched - lots of Animal Plantet, a very sad movie with Tommy Lee Jones in it – found out after it was over that it was based on true events. They were not happy true events, all did not turn out well. We also caught a few of the season’s premieres of new shows – so far I’m not real excited about any of them. I don’t like any of the new Survivor team members. That’s disappointing.

On the Web - I added to my Halloween pages, found a few new memes to play, read some new blogs, made some new friends, started participating in MckLinky Friday Giveaways. All Good

My Favorite Meal - I had the most fun trying out a new recipe for tuna patties – it was fun making them, but they didn’t turn out all that tasty. Then again, they were tuna patties so what was it that I was expecting?

I Wished - really, really hard that we could move on up that housing list. (I don’t think wishing had much more to do with our new status than the stalking and grovelling did)

I Remembered - what my daughter looked like when she started kindergarten.

I Accomplished - some cleaning, some crafting, some befriending, some worshipping…

I Learned - that it is much easier to live in calm patience than worried hysterics and the end result will likely be the same. Unless the worried hysterics alienate those who love me or manage to make me ill which fortunately did not happen.

I Was Blessed - all over the place. I am very, very grateful.
