Friday Photo Flashback
My first time visiting Friday Photo Flashback coincides with my parent’s 56th wedding anniversary.
Almost coincides.
Their anniversary was on Tuesday.
Close enough.
Here’s a beautiful picture of their wedding day on September 22, 1953
I wish you could see the train on my mother’s gown. It swirls halfway down the steps in front of her.
One of the good things that come of a true marriage is, that there is one face on which changes come without your seeing them; or rather there is one face face which you can still see the same, through all the shadows which years have gathered upon it.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad.
I love you both.

Hi there! I’m glad you found me!
I love the picture of your parents!! I would have loved to see her train. I can imagine how beautiful it was!!
Happy Anniversary to them!!! What a blessing!
That is a really cool photo!!
Let me just say that your Dad looks really proud – of himself for snagging such a beautiful bride! I love flashbacks – of the photo variety that is ;0)
Thanks for visiting my foliage post on UpTake. I grew up in Avon and now live outside of Boston. Thus my preference for Talcott Mtn. & Quabbin!
Congratulations to your parents! What a lovely photo…it is gorgeous.
Oh how special!! What a neat testimony. Wishing them many, many more.
So nice to meet you?
Awwwwe, I’m SO happy you joined in the Friday Photo Flashback and I have to say that is just a PERFECT photo for it!! What a great tribute to mom and dad. I love her veil – very classy.
