It’s time for fresh strawberries – the sure sign that summer is here, even if the rain just won’t quit!
Here’s a list of crafts, recipes and activities – all about strawberries…
11. Strawberry Pizza
13. We Made A Strawberry Cobbler !
4 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk
2 cups of fresh sliced strawberries
1 tblsp. sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put butter in 9×11 glass baking dish and set it in the oven to melt. Remove the dish when the butter has melted.
Meanwhile, whisk the flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add milk and whisk to form a batter. (We dearly love to “whisk” at Grammy’s house! )
Pour batter into dish over butter, then scatter strawberries over batter. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tblsp. sugar.
Bake until batter turns brown and strawberries bubble, 50-60 minutes.
Let the cobbler cool for a bit –
best served with a small scoop of strawberry ice cream on top!
