The Simple Woman’s Daybook for Monday, June 15

Outside my window… clouds and gray… again. This is starting out to be a very damp summer. :(

I am thinking… that I need to start planning lots of Green Hour activities with a “nature in the rain” theme

I am thankful for… the completion of a much needed vacation and break from routine followed by the blessed return of the everyday world and our Miss Maya.

From the learning rooms… new stencils to help with learning how to form letters and numbers; the beginning of our summer Green Hours

From the kitchen… vacation is over – time to start planning regular meals again. (yes, my dear Grampy, that means vegetables!)

I am wearing… drawstring cotton pants and a blue checked shirt. Bare feet.

I am creating… aprons. Fun!

I am going… to have a busy week – fishing, library, the family resource center is hosting a party in the park. ( I’m sure it will rain and this will become a party in the community center….)

I am reading… The Heretic’s Daughter

I am hoping… still hoping to hear that our apartment will be available soon…

I am hearing… the happy sounds of Maya listening to Sesame Street and rummaging in her puzzle box

Around the house… restoring order after a week of lazy relaxation

One of my favorite things… getting back to routine after time away

A few plans for the rest of the week… the beginning of summer fun, lots of reading. (I have three library books due on Friday – two of them I haven’t read yet)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

Vacation is done – Maya’s Mommy is back at work – Maya is having her breakfast at Grammy’s – Happy Day!

The Simple Woman’s Daybook originated at the home of the Simple Woman, Peggy Hostetler. Peggy is taking a well deserved break from her daybook over the summer, but she has graciously suggested that we might like to continue  our daybooks in our own blogs.

If you are joining me in posting a summer edition of your Simple Woman’s Daybook on Mondays throughout the summer, won’t you please add your link to Mr. Linky below so we can visit one another?
